What we collect
Account data: your name, email address and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store your password in a readable form.
Order data: which stories you bought, the amount, the currency, the PayPal transaction ID and the timestamp.
Technical data: your IP address is used transiently for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
Listening data: which episodes you played and where you stopped, so you can resume on any device.
Support messages: anything you write to us from the app, the website or Telegram, and our replies, including any pictures or short videos you choose to send us. Attachments are stored encrypted and are only shown to you and to our support team. Our team sees your name, email, app version and recent orders so we can help you, but you only ever see our agents by first name.
The Android app
The app sends anonymous usage statistics so we can see how it is used and fix problems: a random install ID, your phone model, Android version, app version, language and theme, how long and how often you use the app, which screens you open, and actions such as starting an episode, searching, or opening a series. It never sends your IP address as part of these reports, and it never sends what you type into search. If you are signed in, a report is linked to your account so we can count real users. You can switch this off at any time in Settings → Usage statistics.
Your sign-in session is stored on your phone, encrypted with a key held by Android's secure keystore.
What we do not collect
We never receive or store your card or bank details — those go directly to PayPal, who act as the payment processor.
How we use it
To create and secure your account, to process and deliver your purchases, to show you your purchase history, and to respond when you contact support.
We do not sell your data, and we do not send marketing email unless you explicitly ask us to.
Who we share it with
PayPal, to take payment. Telegram, to deliver the content you bought and to let our support team read and answer your messages. Our hosting and database providers, who store the data on our behalf. Nobody else.
Your rights
You can view and edit your profile at any time from your account page, on the website or in the app, and you can delete your account there too. To request a copy of your data, contact us through Support in the app, on Telegram, or by email. We retain order records for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes even after an account is closed.
Personal data in our database (names, email addresses, order and support details) is encrypted at rest.
Cookies
We set two cookies: one holds your signed-in session, the other is a security token that protects forms against cross-site request forgery. Neither is used for advertising or tracking across other websites.
We measure how many people visit which pages, using a service that runs without cookies and without storing any identifier on your device. It records the page, the country, the type of device and where you arrived from. It cannot identify you, and it is not used for advertising.
We show advertising supplied by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners set their own cookies and similar identifiers on this site to select, deliver and measure ads, and — depending on your Google settings — to personalise them using your activity on this and other websites. These are not our cookies and we cannot read them.
You can see and change what Google uses for this at myadcenter.google.com, and turn off personalised advertising entirely at google.com/settings/ads. Declining does not stop ads from appearing; it stops them being tailored to you.
